Peace of Growth Ltd has demonstrated an AI quotation prototype built by Farhan Ahmed Khan for service estimators. Using fictional inspection data, the workflow converts inspection findings into priced repair lines, identifies work requiring human assessment, and generates a draft PDF quotation. The company describes this software-assistant approach as an AI employee: it prepares a draft for a person to review.
In the recorded fire-protection demonstration, the application processes a fictional six-page inspection report covering 78 devices and accounts for 14 deficiencies. It separates the findings into six priced repairs, six items requiring a person before pricing, and two items classified as non-repair work. The output preserves the unresolved findings alongside the priced scope, allowing an estimator to see which decisions remain open.
The prototype uses a 61-line price book—a catalogue of parts and associated costs—rather than generating an unrestricted price from a description. A demonstrated repair concerns a wall-mounted horn/strobe requiring a 75-candela configuration, which specifies the strobe’s light intensity. The application selects part CLS-HS-75, retains the specified configuration, and assigns a quantity of one from the report’s recommendation. Its displayed line item separates $104 in parts from $87 in labour, producing an illustrative $191 repair price with a 0.6-hour labour allowance.
The example shows why quotation automation requires more than extracting a device name. A horn/strobe description must be resolved to the requested variant, quantity and associated repair allowance. Keeping those elements visible gives the estimator a way to inspect the basis of a proposed line item before issuing the quotation.
“So it reads every page, finds every deficiency and prices it from the price book,” Khan explains in the recorded demonstration.
The application also provides a separate queue for findings it cannot resolve into priced repairs. The demonstrations describe diagnostic requirements and access conditions as reasons for involving a person; the interface also displays reasons such as “Extent unknown.” Documentation and owner-action findings are kept distinct from physical repair lines. This makes the outstanding scope visible instead of treating every inspection observation as an immediately billable replacement.
For the six priced items in the sample, the displayed total is $2,124: $1,214 in parts, $725 for five labour hours, and one $185 trip charge. These illustrative amounts show how the quotation separates materials, labour and the site visit, while keeping the six unresolved findings outside the priced total.
The PDF output carries the same 14-finding breakdown and links the priced repairs to their originating deficiencies and inspection-report pages. A service-manager review instruction appears on the document. The source references connect the commercial document to the inspection findings, giving reviewers a route back to the reported defect and its location.
Peace of Growth is framing the approach around HVAC, electrical, fire-protection and wholesale distribution workflows. For HVAC service businesses, a corresponding configuration would need to connect report findings to equipment and replacement-component references. Electrical estimating would require the relevant component specifications, quantities and work allowances. Wholesale quotation workflows would need to preserve requested product variants and quantities when selecting catalogue or price-book lines. These applications share the need to retain technical detail as it moves from a report or customer request into a quotation.
The development work demonstrates experience with a specific operational handoff: turning a technical report into a reviewable commercial document while preserving the findings that still need judgment. Each business implementation would require its own price book, report formats, scope rules and review responsibilities. The current milestone is a working fire-protection prototype using fictional test data; HVAC, electrical and wholesale configurations are intended applications. Customer deployment volumes, average time savings and production accuracy have not been established by the recordings.
The two demonstrations are available as “Building Repair Quotes from Inspection Reports Using AI” and “Turning Inspection Reports into Repair Quotes”. Together, they document the report input, repair classification, specification matching and PDF output demonstrated by Khan.
